About the event

Join author and HGSE alum Brian Rashad Fuller in conversation with former NYC Public Schools chief of staff and education leadership doctoral candidate Jasmine Fernández as they discuss Brian's forthcoming book Being Black in America's Schools.

The discussion will explore the unmistakable link between the American carceral system and our public schools, the history of the miseducation of people of color, and how we can imagine and inspire action that brings about liberatory public education for all students today.
